Airline presses world governments to support hydrogen-powered aircraft

If zero-emission aircraft are to become a reality by the 2030s, world governments need to get behind the push, including the need for hydrogen-powered models, EasyJet Plc states.
EasyJet has said it embraces sustainable aviation fuel as a near-term measure, but adds switching to zero-carbon hydrogen and electric aircraft is a more effective long-term solution.
The lack of availability and higher costs associated with sustainable aviation fuel have airlines relying on carbon offsets as a means of cutting emissions.
