BCN adds Dr. Victor Cheng to team

March 10, 2014, Edmonton, Alta. – The Biorefining Conversions Network has announced the hiring of Dr. Victor Cheng as its Scientific Extension Lead.

March 10, 2014, Edmonton, Alta. – The Biorefining
Conversions Network has announced the appointment of Dr. Victor Cheng as its
Scientific Extension Lead.

 

Having joined the BCN in February, he will play a dynamic
role that includes external communications, strategic networking, stakeholder engagement
and information reporting. He will also play an integral role in fostering a
meaningful collaborative environment between industry and academic leaders.

 

"We are very excited to welcome Victor to the BCN
team,” said David Bressler, executive director of the Biorefining Conversions
Network. “His complete skillset, coupled with his strong foundation in
biochemistry, will help the BCN expand into new research initiatives involving
world class researchers.”

 

Victor has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of
Alberta. He had previously worked on a BCN funded project that focused on
biobutanol production from a solvent tolerant Staphylococcus species.
