Court approves sale of Thurso pulp mill

Apr. 15, 2010, Toronto –
Fraser Papers Inc. obtained final approval on April 13 from the Ontario
Superior Court of Justice to complete the sale of its Thurso, Quebec,
pulp mill to Fortress Specialty Cellulose Inc. The companies expect to close the
transaction within the next few weeks. Fortress intends to
convert the mill into a low-cost, specialty cellulose
operation and build a 25-MW biomass-fired cogeneration plant there.
