Deadline extended for Aboriginal forestry award

June 16, 2011, Ottawa – The deadline to nominate a First Nations entrepreneur for the joint Forest Products Association of Canada and Assembly of First Nations Business Leadership Award is now Monday June 27, 2011.

June 16, 2011, Ottawa – Those wishing to
nominate a First Nations entrepreneur for the joint Forest Products Association
of Canada and Assembly of First Nations Business Leadership Award
will have an extra week to do so. The deadline is now Monday June 27, 2011.

The award recognizes and celebrates First
Nations entrepreneurs for their success in a forest products business that
exemplifies business leadership, exceptional environmental and safety
performance, and the delivery of high-quality products and services. The
recipient must also demonstrate a strong, long-term commitment to the
Indigenous community, particularly in supporting Indigenous employment.

The award will be presented on July 14 at
the AFN General Assembly in Moncton, New Brunswick.
