Valmet appoints new VP of Valmet Services for North America

Valmet recently promoted Rocky Matuska to the position of vice-president, Services, North America, succeeding Kari Lindberg, who will retire in early 2025. Matuska’s new position will begin on August 1, 2024. He will be responsible for leading and managing all Valmet Services operations in North America. He will also become a member of the North America Area Management Team (AMT).

Matuska is currently the director of sales and technology for Paper and Board, North America Capital Business at Valmet. He is based out of Valmet’s Beloit, Wisc. facility and will remain there following his appointment.

Matuska holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and has over 30 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry. Matuska played an integral role in integrating the small and medium-size equipment (SMM) business into the Valmet North America portfolio.
